Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

- Experience in Android app development.
- Experience with Android internals.
- Experience in developing and publishing plugins for IDEs (e.g., IntelliJ, Visual Studio).

Responsibilities

- Build performance tools in Android Studio, an open source IDE written in Java and Kotlin.
- Lead a feature team in Android performance tooling, or in IDE development.
- Lead, build, and hire a team with mixed experiences, and own a set of independent features that will be integrated into Android Studio on a regular basis.
- Work as part of the Android Studio team.
