Instrumentation Engineer

Job Description JOB Summary - We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Instrumentation Design Engineer to join our engineering team for EPC projects in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Water Treatment, and Process Industries. - The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in instrumentation design, engineering deliverables, and multi-disciplinary coordination throughout the project lifecyclefrom FEED to detailed design and construction support. Responsibilities - Develop and review instrumentation deliverables including: - Instrument Index - I/O Lists - Instrument Datasheets (Temperature, Pressure, Flow, Level) - Cable Schedules and JB Schedules - Hook-up and Loop Diagrams - Prepare specifications, material requisitions, and technical bid evaluations for instruments and control systems - Perform instrument sizing and selection (control valves, orifice plates, transmitters) - Generate interconnection diagrams, termination details, and wiring layouts - Review and approve vendor drawings (GA, ILD, CBD, wiring diagrams) - Coordinate with process, mechanical, electrical, and civil teams for layout integration and clash resolution - Ensure compliance with international standards (ISA, IEC, API, ANSI, ASME) - Support procurement, construction, and commissioning teams with technical clarifications - Participate in site visits, model reviews, and client meetings Technical And Industry Experience - Oil & Gas (Upstream, Midstream, Downstream) - Petrochemical & Chemical Plants - Water & Wastewater Treatment Facilities - Fertilizer, Power, and other Process Industries - Strong understanding of P&IDs, control philosophies, and safety instrumented systems - Familiarity with hazardous area classification and intrinsic safety requirements Skills & Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation or equivalent. - 57 years of experience in instrumentation design within EPC and plant design environments - Exposure to PLC/SCADA/DCS systems - Proficiency in INtools, SPI, AutoCAD, and Excel-based design tools - Excellent communication and documentation skills Keywords Instrument design, Smart plant instrumentation, Control systems, PLC/SCADA/DCS, Instrument index, JB layout, cable scheduling, P&ID Interpretation Location - Bengaluru, Karnataka, IND Employment Type - Regular/Full-time Employee Job Level Experienced
