Job Description Job location: Remote in India About the role: The Senior Programs Associate will be managing and scaling Sun King's India PayGo product ecosystem - including smartphones, solar inverters (grid-tied and off-grid), and work on any technical issues both on the hardware and software side of the field activities. This cross-functional role blends strategic planning, program coordination, vendor and stakeholder engagement, technical enablement, and field operations. The ideal candidate will bring solid execution skills, familiarity with technology systems, and a structured approach to improving product rollout, compliance, and field-level effectiveness. The role will require to travel up to 50% across India and may occasionally require travel to other Sun King markets globally. What you will be expected to do a) Program & Project Management: - Oversee planning and execution of technical and operational programs. - Maintain project documentation and provide timely updates to relevant stakeholders. - Apply structured thinking and use data tools to address project challenges. - Manage CRM administrative activities setup and project approval workflows. b) Device Management & Technical Operations: - Manage Mobile Device Management (MDM) for smartphones (e.g., KnoxGuard, PayTrigger), ensuring provisioning, security, and adherence to policy. - Perform regular device-level testing (e.g., jailbreak detection, compliance checks, feature testing). - Monitor phone-related risks through available dashboards and escalate where needed. - Suggests software improvements or process changes. c) Cross-functional Coordination: - Coordinate with Customer Support and field teams to resolve technical concerns post-purchase. - Ensure operational issues related to phones and inverters are identified and addressed in a timely manner. d) Product & Vendor Coordination: - Engage with cross-functional teams (R&D, Product, Sales) and OEMs/vendors for specification finalization, certification processes, and product customization. - Ensure products comply with internal standards and applicable external policies or regulations. - Contribute to go-to-market strategies and provide input to product and commercial teams. e) Stakeholder Engagement & Field Insights: - Work with government bodies (e.g., MNRE, DISCOMs) to align with schemes and obtain necessary approvals. - Conduct regular field visits to gather insights from regional teams (Energy Officers, Area Sales Managers, Regional Sales Managers). - Document field inputs and coordinate follow-ups with internal stakeholders. You might be a strong candidate if you have/are - A bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline; MBA is a plus. - 2+ years of experience in program or project management within telecom, energy, or logistics sectors. - Knowledge of mobile technologies, MDM tools, and PAYG systems. - Proficiency with tools such as Appsheet, Google AppScript, Zapier, Office 365, and CRM platforms. - The ability to manage structured processes across teams with precision and clarity. - Effective communication skills for engaging with both internal and external teams. Preferred Skills: - PMP or equivalent project management certification. - Familiarity with regulatory guidelines from RBI or other Indian authorities. - Experience working with BI/reporting tools like Looker. - Ability to operate across functions and provide structured inputs for improvement. - Problem-solving mindset with attention to systems and operational detail.
