resource scarcity food insecurity and environmental change About the Unit For over a century Yara has worked to feed the world and protect the planet and our mission is to do this in a responsible and sustainable way Yara delivers solutions for sustainable agriculture and the environment Their fertilizers and crop nutrition programs help produce the food required forthe growing world population Yara s industrial products and solutions reduce emissions improve air quality and support safe and efficient operations Founded in Norway in 1905 Yara has a worldwide presence with production and sales and services operations across countries i e America Europe Africa and Asia with more than 17 000 employees sales to 150 countries and sales revenue of more than 14 billion USD Safety is always the top-mostpriority Yara Fertilizers India Pvt Ltd is a 100 subsidiary of Yara International ASA Yara has supplied fertilizers as well as fertilizer raw materials to the Indian market for over two decades Yara India has continuously strengthened its footprint in Western and Southern India by providing Crop nutrition solutions with combination of Premium products and Knowledge through unique Farmer centric approach Yara s philosophy is to connect with thousands of farmers at the grass root level and has a strong commitment to serving the agriculture sector in India there by improving the livelihood of Indian farmer To leverage on this and to expand into the northern eastern geographies of India Yara acquired Tata Chemicals 1 2 MN MT Urea plant in UP Northern India With this acquisition Yara India s scale of operation has grown significantly Role and Responsibilities The incumbent will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring hygiene and sanitation across the Yara Babrala plant and township including canteen hygiene and overall cleanliness standards The role involves conducting regular inspections coordinating with housekeeping and waste disposal teams and enforcing sanitation and food safety protocols in compliance with statutory requirements and Yara s internal standards Sanitation Management Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of toilets tea points restrooms canteens and drinking water stations Oversee cleanliness of all common areas and coordinate pest control services Monitor waste collection segregation and disposal practices Inspect drainage effluent and sewage systems within the facility to ensure proper functioning Canteen Hygiene and Food Safety Ensure overall cleanliness and hygiene of the canteen including kitchen dining areas and equipment Monitor food safety practices related to storage preparation and serving as per FSSAI or company standards Check personal hygiene and health status of canteen staff and ensure use of protective gear gloves aprons hairnets etc Supervise waste disposal and pest control in and around canteen premises Inspect drinking water quality and sanitation of utensils and food contact surfaces Maintain inspection logs pest control records and health records of food handlers Report hygiene or food safety issues to management and assist in training canteen staff on safe food handling practices Ensure compliance with applicable food safety and health regulations Compliance and Reporting Ensure adherence to Factory Act sanitation provisions Environmental and Occupational Health Safety OHS standards and Food safety regulations FSSAI GMP HACCP Coordinate pest control programs insect and rodent control in collaboration with approved vendors Supervise and guide housekeeping staff on sanitation procedures schedules and best practices Prepare daily weekly sanitation inspection logs and compliance reports for audits Participate in safety audits internal inspections and external regulatory visits Report and follow up on sanitation-related hazards leakages or incidents Conduct training sessions for workers on personal hygiene toilet etiquette and general cleanliness protocols Preferred Skills Knowledge of industrial sanitation regulations e g Factory Act OHS environmental laws Customer focus and stakeholder orientation Strong inspection observation and reporting skills Basic understanding of chemical and biological waste management Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple departments Good communication and interpersonal skills Familiarity with MS Office and digital reporting tools Education and Experience Two-Year Diploma in Health and Sanitary Inspector from a recognised institute OR Bachelor s degree in Public Health Microbiology or a related field from a recognised institute 0 to 5 years of relevant experience Candidate should have good academic records Contact details Muskan Jain -
