An Accounting Executive plays a vital role in managing financial records, supporting compliance activities, and ensuring smooth day-to-day accounting operations. The Accounting Executive also assists in financial data analysis, identifying discrepancies in GST filings, and maintaining accurate documentation for reporting and compliance. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Bookkeeping Record day-to-day financial transactions including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments. Maintain ledgers, journal entries, and trial balances. Support monthly and annual closing of accounts. GST & Tax Compliance Assist in the preparation and filing of GST returns. Verify invoices for GST applicability and accuracy. Identify discrepancies in GST filings through data analysis in Excel. Ensure compliance with basic GST rules and deadlines. Financial Data Management Maintain financial records in both digital and hard copy formats. Use MS Excel for data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting. Generate reports for management related to revenue, expenses, and tax liabilities. Document Preparation & Letter Drafting Draft official letters, financial correspondences, and notices in Hindi and English. Prepare documents for submission to auditors, tax consultants, or government authorities. Assist management in preparing presentations and reports in MS Word/Excel. Typing & Communication Perform Hindi typing for official documents and correspondences when required. Ensure accuracy, formatting, and professionalism in all drafted letters. Communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and internal teams regarding accounts-related queries. Data Analysis & Reporting Use Excel tools (formulas, pivot tables, lookups, conditional formatting, charts) to analyze data. Reconcile accounts and detect errors or mismatches in financial transactions. Highlight irregularities in GST or tax filings and assist in resolving them. Support to Audits & Compliance Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary records. Ensure accuracy of vouchers, invoices, and expense statements. Coordinate with statutory and tax consultants for compliance requirements. Skills & Competencies Required Technical Skills Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles. Familiarity with GST filing procedures. Proficiency in MS Excel (data analysis, formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, charts). Competence in MS Word for documentation and formatting. Hindi typing and letter drafting skills. Analytical Skills Ability to identify discrepancies in data. Problem-solving skills to resolve mismatches in financial statements.
