About the Role:

- We are building a world-class product from the ground up and are looking for a passionateBackend Engineerto join our dynamic team. As aProduct Development Engineer I, you will play a key role in designing and developing highly scalable and robust backend systems that power our core platform. You'll work closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to bring ideas to life.

What You'll Do:

- Design and develop scalable, high-performance backend systems and microservices using Java
- Own the full backend development lifecycle: design, development, deployment, and monitoring
- Drive architecture decisions and contribute to building a modular, scalable product platform
- Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security
- Design and manage data models and interactions with relational and NoSQL databases
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with a focus on quality and best practices
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers when required

What We're Looking For:

- 36 years of hands-on backend development experience with strong expertise inJava
- Deep understanding ofSystem Design,Scalable Architecture, andMicroservices
- Experience withRESTful APIs, distributed systems, and asynchronous processing
- Proficiency in working with databases likeMongoDB,PostgreSQL, or similar
- Solid understanding ofCI/CD pipelines, containerization tools likeDocker, and cloud platforms such asAWS
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Good to Have:

- Experience working in early-stage product teams
- Familiarity with Kafka, Redis, or Elasticsearch
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and version control systems like Git
