Department General Medicine Reports To Medical Superintendent Head of Department Job Summary The General Physician will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients by diagnosing treating and managing various acute and chronic illnesses The role involves clinical evaluation prescribing appropriate treatment coordinating with specialists and ensuring high standards of patient care and safety Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough medical examinations and record patient histories Diagnose and manage common medical conditions both acute and chronic Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood investigations X-rays ECG etc Prescribe medications and other therapeutic interventions as per diagnosis Monitor and follow up on patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly Provide preventive healthcare advice and health education to patients Coordinate referrals to specialists when advanced care is required Maintain accurate confidential medical records and documentation Participate in ward rounds if working in an inpatient setting Ensure compliance with hospital protocols infection control and patient safety standards Support health screening and wellness programs conducted by the hospital Attend case discussions CME programs and departmental meetings as required Qualifications MBBS from a recognized university DNB General Medicine or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution Valid medical registration with the Medical Council state or national Experience 0-5 years of post-DNB experience for junior positions 5 years of experience for senior roles in clinical medicine or hospital practice Skills and Competencies Excellent diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle emergencies and critical situations efficiently Compassionate approach toward patient care Proficiency in using EMR electronic medical record systems if applicable Commitment to continuous learning and professional development Job Type Full-time Pay 200 000 73 - 233 382 59 per month Work Location In person
