Nice to meet you We re a leader in data and AI Through our software and services we inspire customers around the world to transform data into intelligence - and questions into answers We re also a debt-free multi-billion-dollar organization on our path to IPO-readiness If you re looking for a dynamic fulfilling career coupled with flexibility and world-class employee experience you ll find it here About the job As a Server Systems Position you will support day-to-day mission critical operations of SAS complex global compute environments The Infrastructure as a Service IaaS Operations team is responsible for maintaining operational stability of SAS global server systems Linux Windows internal and hosting server on prem and cloud infrastructures The engineer performs incident management proactive operations implements basic requests changes and documents team procedures Primary responsibilities for this role include Investigation and management of global and hosting Windows and Linux OS related incidents Proactive management of Windows and Linux OS infrastructure to help reduce reactive incidents Fulfill Windows Linux related request and change tickets Produce and maintain current documentation for areas of responsibility Experience 3-4 Years Required Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Computer Information Systems Computer Science or related quantitative field or related experience 3 years of experience in a heterogeneous dynamic customer-focused environment Extensive experience on Incident management Experience with Public Cloud with a focus on Azure AWS GCP Experience with Redhat Linux and Windows operating systems 1 year of experience with your primary OS Support experience with virtualization technologies preference of VMWare Experience with infrastructure architecture including Servers Network SAN Storage and Backup Services to allow for efficient implementation and non-disruptive expansion and upgrades Experience in scripting languages Bash Python PowerShell Perl etc Preferred Qualifications Collaborative team experience with superior problem-solving skills Experience with LDAP or Microsoft Active Directory integration within UNIX Linux Understanding best practices around information security and data privacy in relation to system access and availability Support experience with host-side SAN storage integration and utilization Experience with Public Cloud with a focus on Azure AWS GCP Understanding best practices around information security in relation to confidentiality integrity and availability Familiarity with ISO 27000-series standards Consulting or work experience with regulated industries such as government health care and financial institutions Diverse and Inclusive At SAS it s not about fitting into our culture - it s about adding to it We believe our people make the difference Our diverse workforce brings together unique talents and inspires teams to create amazing software that reflects the diversity of our users and customers Our commitment to diversity is a priority to our leadership all the way up to the top and it s essential to who we are To put it plainly you are welcome here SAS
