This role is for one of the Weekday s clients Salary range Rs 1500000 - Rs 1800000 ie INR 15-18 LPA Min Experience 2 years Location Surat JobType full-time The Direct Tax Manager will be responsible for developing and overseeing the organization s direct tax strategy ensuring full compliance with applicable tax laws managing audits and offering advisory support This role involves close collaboration with leadership to enable tax-efficient operations manage risks and align with evolving regulatory frameworks Requirements Key Responsibilities Lead direct tax planning and optimization initiatives while ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws Prepare review and file Tax Audits Income Tax Returns TDS Returns Transfer Pricing documentation and other statutory forms Manage timely calculation deposit and filing of TDS and Advance Tax monthly quarterly Handle tax assessments audits inquiries and responses to notices from tax authorities Maintain accurate documentation for all direct tax-related filings and transactions Advise internal stakeholders on tax implications of business decisions and transactions Monitor and analyze changes in direct tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization Drive awareness and adherence to tax compliance across the business Provide expert guidance on direct tax matters in strategic and operational contexts Candidate Profile Must-Have Qualifications and Skills Chartered Accountant CA qualification is mandatory In-depth knowledge of Direct Tax TDS Income Tax laws and Transfer Pricing Minimum experience in a corporate tax function not in practice roles Strong communication analytical and documentation skills Based in Surat or willing to relocate relocation accommodation not provided Preferred Skills Proficiency in ERP systems particularly for tax compliance Advanced Excel skills Experience managing small teams or working cross-functionally Key Skills Direct Tax TDS Compliance Transfer Pricing Tax Audits Income Tax Tax Planning ERP Excel
