QA Engineer

Viaplus is looking for a passionate and meticulous Senior QA Engineer - Automation to help drive a quality-centric approach to application development. This key role is responsible for creating and executing automated tests to ensure product quality for our web-based payment processing apps, microservices/APIs, and native mobile apps.

As a Testing specialist, you will be responsible for transforming testing into a continuous and efficient end-to-end quality engineering function through the use of quality processes, tools, and methodologies. You will enhance our teams ability to implement and drive proper QA tooling, process, automation, and methodology while working directly with the product stakeholders and engineering teams.

Able to understand the why to better inform what, and how something is built. The enthusiasm to improve their customers experience is contagious and is at the core of everything they do. Should have a passion for designing, developing, and testing highly performant and scalable applications. Job Profile: Sr.QA Engineer (Automation)
Experience: 5 -10 yrs

Job Responsibilities:
Specialist in designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using Selenium for both web and API testing.
Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test documentation for new and existing applications.
Conduct thorough manual testing to identify and resolve issues.
Collaborate with developers, manual testers, and automated testers within agile teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Familiarity with successful Agile techniques, including User Stories, Acceptance Test Driven Development, Behavior Driven Development, Continuous Integration & Deployment, Continuous Testing, and Automated Testing.
Ability to create good acceptance and integration test automation scripts and integrate with Continuous integration, (Jenkins/Bamboo).
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail, critical thinking, solid communication, and proven leadership skills - with the ability to lead multiple test paths simultaneously.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to facilitate continuous testing and delivery.
Provide mentorship and guidance to QA team members, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define automation strategies and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Oversee the execution of parallel and cross-browser/device tests to ensure the robustness and compatibility of applications.
Identify and implement approaches which reduce the amount of time needed to regress a
software release candidate from days to hours
Serve as a leading member of a Scrum team and participate in all planning, stand-up and
retrospective meetings
Champion functional test automation in all its forms, help bring our test automation practice and
tooling to the cutting edge
Perform database testing using SQL or PostgreSQL to validate data integrity and consistency.
Utilize tools like Jira, Github, and Azure for test management, bug tracking, and version control.
Own the functional knowledge of large, legacy applications and ensure the team's understanding and alignment.
Sharing skills and knowledge to help further our test data management and test
automation initiatives

Skill Set:
Strong communication and problem-solving skills. skills and team work
Should have experience in Automation using Selenium/Java, Cucumber and Rest API.
Holds minimum 6plus years of working experience in Automation, functional testing and capable of Selecting or Identifying Areas/Test cases for Automation.
Should be good in Designing & Implementing Test Automation Strategy.
Strong knowledge of the Selenium WebDriver for Creating Basic Test Cases Implementation-Should have minimum Java or Other supported Programming for Enhancing Test Cases
Should have experience in working in a team in an agile environment.
Good to have hands-on experience in BDD/Cucumber..
Strong Experience in Selenium suite of Tools (Selenium IDE, Selenium WebDriver and Selenium Grid).
Good knowledge of Element Locators, Inspecting Elements, and Selenium WebDriver API Commands or Methods.
Experience on Jenkins for Continuous Integration, Choose selenium tools and Configuring Selenium Test Environment (Ex:Eclipse IDE, Java, Selenium WebDriver and TestNG, etc.).
Hands-on experience / Good knowledge on API testing, API testing automation, Postman, RestAssure, Java /
Good to have technical exposure in API/Web-services testing using Postman and Rest Assured.
Be able to work on both manual and automation testing.
Good knowledge of testing salesforce implementation projects in Salesforce (Classic/Lightning) End to End testing.
Good to have any salesforce certification
Should have good knowledge of Test management tools like Jira, Zephyre etc.
Strong technical skills, both functional and non-functional, manual and automation, ideally in a continuous delivery environment.
A self-motivated and enthusiastic professional who is a self-path-maker.
Excellent communicator, should be able to represent his/her work in daily meetings within the team or with clients.

Qualifications:
Any Graduate with B. E / B. Tech, MCA or equivalent degree with more than 7+ years relevant work experience.
