Job Title: ABAP Development Sr. Manager Location: Bangalore, India Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP ABAP Development Manager to lead and manage a team of developers in delivering innovative SAP solutions. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of development experience in ABAP, proven leadership skills, and deep familiarity with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology. This role is critical to driving the successful design, development, and implementation of SAP projects that align with business goals and objectives while fostering an agile and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage a team of ABAP developers to ensure high-quality delivery of SAP development projects. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, solution architects, and project managers, to define project requirements and deliverables. - Design, develop, and optimize SAP custom code using ABAP and related technologies. - Serve as the subject matter expert on ABAP development, offering technical guidance and mentoring to team members. - Drive the adoption and implementation of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology within the team and across projects. - Participate in PI (Program Increment) planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring alignment with SAFe principles and practices. - Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes. - Monitor project progress, manage timelines, and address technical or resource challenges to meet deadlines. - Stay updated on the latest SAP technologies and methodologies to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation. - Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing within the team. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems or a related field. - 15 years of hands-on experience in ABAP development, including experience with both SAP ECC and S/4HANA. - Strong expertise in ABAP programming, including Reports, Module Pool, BAPIs, BADIs, Enhancements, Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, and IDOCs. - Demonstrated experience leading and managing development teams. - In-depth understanding of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology, with experience applying SAFe in large-scale enterprise environments. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders. - Proven track record of delivering high-quality SAP development projects on time and within budget.
