Lead - Engineering Excellence QA engineer.

Job overview/Purpose of the Position:

The Engineering Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for ensuring that engineering processes, product designs, and manufacturing operations comply with internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements. This role involves conducting risk assessments, performing audits, ensuring compliance, and supporting design quality initiatives to drive continuous improvement and product reliability.

Area of responsibilities:

- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for engineering and design processes.
- Perform internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and other applicable regulations.
- Support design quality activities including DFMEA, design reviews, and validation testing.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation including procedures, work instructions, and audit reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor and analyze quality metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Provide training and guidance on quality assurance practices and compliance requirements.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
- Participate in regulatory inspections and support compliance audits.

Additional information:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in quality assurance within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of risk management, auditing practices, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with design quality tools such as DFMEA, root cause analysis, and validation protocols.
- Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and FDA regulations.
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent certification preferred.
