Job Description

Hello All,

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize enterprise-grade data solutions on Azure. The role involves working with Azure Synapse, SQL schema design, ETL/ELT pipelines, data partitioning strategies, and Power BI dashboards, ensuring robust and scalable data systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in data engineering and analytics, with exposure to ML/AI integrations being a plus.

Job Type

- Permanent / Contract (Flexible, based on business needs and candidate preference)

Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement enterprise data solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Develop SQL Pool schema designs optimized for scalability and performance.
- Create ETL/ELT pipelines and implement data partitioning strategies.
- Build and manage Synapse-connected dashboards with effective Row-Level Security (RLS) and role-based access.
- Develop interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI.
- Utilize Python for data transformation, automation, and analytics workflows.
- Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to prepare data pipelines for advanced analytics and machine learning.
- Ensure best practices in security, governance, and cost optimization across data systems.

Required Skills & Experience

- 4+ years of experience in building commercial enterprise-grade products.
- Hands-on experience in:
- Enterprise data solutions design & implementation.
- Azure Synapse Analytics (Dedicated & Serverless SQL Pools).
- SQL schema design and optimization.
- ETL/ELT design and data partitioning strategies.
- Power BI dashboards with RLS and role-based access control.
- Python for data engineering tasks.

Optional / Desirable Skills

- Azure Streaming Analytics for real-time data processing.
- Engineering metric reporting for operational insights.
- ML pipeline preparation (data labeling, feature store readiness).
- Experience with AI/ML integration services (Azure ML, Azure OpenAI).
- Feature tagging for ML and agentic AI solutions.
- Azure Digital Twin for modeling assets and environments.
- Fleet status visualizations for operational dashboards.
- Development experience with C#, JavaScript, or Node.js.

Education

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
