Sales Development Representative – Japan (India-based, Fluent Japanese) Location: India (Remote/Hybrid as per company policy) Languages Required: Fluent Japanese (JLPT N2/N1 preferred) and Fluent English Travel: Not Required Reports To: SDR Team Leader, HCLSoftware Role Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Sales Development Representative (SDR) to support our Japan market from India. The SDR will be responsible for validating and nurturing inbound leads, executing outreach activities in Japanese, ensuring CRM data accuracy, and qualifying leads for handoff to Sales Executives or Business Partner Managers. This role requires strong communication skills in Japanese and English, cultural understanding of the Japan market, and the ability to engage prospects across multiple channels. Ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, self-driven environment and values teamwork, precision, and proactive outreach. Key Responsibilities Manage multichannel outreach (email, calls, social) to validate and nurture Japan-region leads. Qualify inbound and outbound leads based on predefined criteria and update all interactions in CRM. Pass Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) to the appropriate Sales or Business Partner teams. Plan and execute structured contact strategies to increase engagement and support conversion goals. Collaborate with marketing, sales, and partner teams to ensure lead data accuracy and timely follow-up. Support Japan-focused email marketing and online campaign tracking as needed. Maintain clean, accurate, and up-to-date records of customer interactions and product interest. Understand and effectively communicate HCLSoftware’s product portfolio and value proposition to Japanese prospects.
