Job Description We are seeking an exceptional Faculty member for the Wadhwani Center for Government Digital Transformation (WGDT). In this pivotal role, you will combine deep subject matter expertise in emerging technologies with outstanding teaching and learning design capabilities. You will be responsible for creating and delivering high-quality, relevant learning experiences for senior government officials, equipping them to leverage technologies like AI and data science for public good. This position demands a dynamic educator with strong communication and stakeholder management skills, adept at engaging diverse adult learners in both in-person and virtual environments. Key Responsibilities - Learning Strategy & Subject Matter Expertise: - Work in conjunction with the WGDT Academy team to determine subject matter and optimal methodologies for training central and state government bureaucrats. - Create compelling content on Emerging Technologies such as data science, machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, and Generative AI, tailored for a senior audience with relevant social sector examples and use cases. - Help formulate case studies using no/low code tools for senior policymakers. - Review learning content designed by Curriculum Designers to ensure accuracy and depth from a subject matter perspective. - Research, produce, and deliver high-quality learning assets including training decks, facilitator guides, learner guides, assessments, and other supporting content. - Learning Delivery: - Demonstrate strong teaching skills for a senior audience in both classroom and virtual classroom environments, adapting teaching styles as needed. - Manage multiple teaching projects simultaneously and liaise with stakeholders to execute course requirements. - Take full responsibility for assigned cohorts, from classroom setup and group assignments to learning interventions, and subsequent data collection on usage, assessment, quality, and feedback. - Effectively collate and illustrate points using flipped classroom and case study methodologies, aligning with adult learning principles. - Identify and address individual learner requirements, ensuring no student is left behind through follow-ups for assignments, assessments, and feedback. - Demonstrate excellent stakeholder relationship management skills. - Utilize modern communication tools like Teams, Zoom, or other learning platforms as required. - Possess experience in both in-person and online training for a senior audience. Qualifications - Education: At least a Bachelor's degree. - Experience: - Extensive experience as a trainer in emerging technologies (freelance or full-time). - Experience in using and creating content for Virtual Learning platforms and MOOCs. - Experience in building new case studies, use cases, and assessments in emerging technology areas. - Work in governance and policy will be an asset but is not essential. - Aptitude: Talent for effectively engaging adult students of diverse ages and backgrounds, instructing senior-level learners. Skills & Expertise - Technical Skills: - Expert-level knowledge of one or more Emerging Technologies such as data science, machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, Generative AI, and large language models. - Knowledge of no/low code tools like Orange/Knime is helpful (but not essential). - Knowledge of Python/R is helpful (but not essential). - Pedagogical Skills: - Ability to teach complex technical subjects to a non-technical audience, using simple language and avoiding excessive jargon. - Awareness and deep knowledge of the subject area, including the latest analytics-based technologies. - Ability to handle and engage a heterogeneous participant base with maturity. - Communication & Interpersonal Skills: - Highly effective verbal communication skills. - Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder relationship management.
