Position: SAP ABAP Consultant min 4 years Experience
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ABAP programming, with expertise in developing and supporting interfaces, Business Warehouse (BW) processes, and Operational Data Provisioning (ODP). This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain SAP solutions that meet our business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
ABAP Development: Design, develop, and implement ABAP programs, reports, forms, and enhancements according to business requirements.
Interfaces Management: Create and maintain interfaces between SAP and non-SAP systems using technologies such as IDoc, RFC, BAPI, and Web Services.
BW Development: Work on BW projects, including the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. Develop ABAP routines for data modeling and reporting.
ODP Implementation: Implement and manage Operational Data Provisioning for data extraction and replication, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity.
Performance Optimization: Analyze existing ABAP code and BW processes for performance bottlenecks and implement improvements.
Documentation: Prepare technical documentation for all developments and ensure compliance with company standards.
Collaboration: Work closely with functional teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Support & Troubleshooting: Provide ongoing support for SAP applications, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions as necessary.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Strong experience with SAP interfaces, BW, and ODP.
Technical Skills:
o Proficient in ABAP programming, including Object-Oriented ABAP.
o Experience with data extraction techniques and data modeling in SAP BW.
o Familiarity with ODP concepts and implementations.
o Knowledge of integration technologies (IDOC, BAPI, RFC, Web Services).
Behavioral Competencies:
Must have worked with US/Europe-based clients in onsite/offshore delivery model
Should have very good verbal and written communication, technical articulation, listening, and presentation skills
Should have proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Should have demonstrated effective task prioritization, time management, and internal/external stakeholder management skills
Should be a quick learner, self-starter, go-getter and team player
Should have experience working under stringent deadlines in a Matrix organization structure
Should have demonstrated appreciable Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) in past organization
