Job Description

Our client is a leading global supplier of generic APIs for human and animal health who is looking for a VP of Sales to grow the market in India.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company sales targets and revenue goals.
- Set and monitor sales targets, quotas, and performance metrics.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve performance targets.
- Identify and prioritize sales opportunities based on market analysis.
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Develop pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
- Work with marketing, product development, and operations teams to align sales strategies.
- Analyze sales data to identify growth opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with sales policies and regulations.
- Manage key accounts and major deals.
- Represent the company at industry events to promote brand awareness.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field; master's degree is a plus.
- At least 10 years of experience in the API market
- Proven experience in sales management, business development, or a senior sales leadership role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
