Responsibilities Key DeliverablesOverall functioning of Purchase Stores and Logistics activities and providing necessary resources to the Personnel in Purchase and Stores Dept Implementation of Purchase and Stores Policies Monitor and support Purchase and Stores personnel and ensure their development in line with HR policies Ensure Approval Process Compliance for Purchase and Stores documents such as Purchase Orders Work Orders Contracts Cash Purchases Payment Requests Payment vouchers Travel statements Debit Notes etc in line with management guidelines Ensuring timely purchase of items required so as to meet the targets Controlling cost of purchases and ensuring PO released with best lowest price and Terms and conditions Support for development of new vendors Support buyers for resolving any disputes with vendors regarding delayed payments damaged materials rejected materials implementation of penalty clause risk purchases clause blacklisting of vendors etc Support to business development team by providing necessary purchase information such as cost of items delivery periods and availability of alternate materials etc for preparation of bids tenders for prospective clients Interaction with Clients and Other Depts on Purchase issues as required Preparation and approval of Purchase and Stores Manuals for IMS Support Purchase and Stores Dept for obtaining ISO Certification and surveillance audits Provision of resources for implementation of Health Safety and Environment Plans at Site and Head Office ExperienceMin 5 years of experience in Supply Chain and Materials Management Should have worked with leading industrial houses EPC companies engaged in implementation of Projects preferably solar energy related either within or outside India Sound Knowledge of Import Purchases Policies and Procedures and local purchases preferably project related purchases Knowledge of Custom Tariffs in India Sound knowledge of Taxation Excellent written and oral communication skills Should be organized and well versed with custom related documents Industry PreferredQualificationsB E Mechanical Electrical from a reputed engineering college General RequirementsSound Knowledge of Materials Management function Sound Knowledge of Import purchases Policies and Procedures and local purchases preferably project related purchases Sound fundamental knowledge of Taxation and legal aspect of purchasing Excellent negotiation and communication Skills Very good decision maker and should have leadership quality Excellent Interpersonal relationship with all level of employees Must have hands on experience working in SAP MM module
