Specialist Game Artist Experience: 8–12 Years Employment Type: Full-time Mandatory Skills: Digital Drawing, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Game Artist to lead visual art initiatives for instant game projects. The role involves close collaboration with game designers, developers, and cross-functional teams to define artistic requirements and deliver high-quality game assets aligned with user experience and business objectives. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing creatively and technically across projects. Key Responsibilities - Create sketches, digital artwork, matte paintings, and concept art based on game design and application requirements. - Interpret and execute art requirements in alignment with established development processes. - Participate in design handoffs, developer transitions, and quality assurance reviews. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical specifications and deliver solutions aligned with project goals. - Identify quality issues and contribute to improving systems, workflows, and standard operating procedures. - Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and consistency. - Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and training to junior game artists. - Guide, coach, and allocate tasks to junior team members. - Continuously build product and domain knowledge and act as a subject matter expert (SME) within the art function. - Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide project updates, gather requirements, and present creative solutions. Soft Skills - Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams. - Ability to visualize and communicate gameplay mechanics through storyboarding. Technical Skills - Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop. - Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator. - Strong digital drawing and illustration skills. - Solid understanding of color theory, lighting, and visual composition. - Storyboarding and live sketching capabilities. - Knowledge of Adobe After Effects is an added advantage. Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) or equivalent relevant qualification. - 8–12 years of experience in a game art, digital art, or related role. Additional Requirement - Submission of a recent demo reel or portfolio is mandatory.
