Job Title Controls Project Engineer I Department The Engineering Support Office ESO is responsible for standardizing products and developing the necessary tooling to support platform solution ESO collaborates closely with the Project Engineering and R D teams to ensure seamless integration and continuous improvement Job Responsibilities Core Tasks Understand and implement control architecture for industrial automation systems Develop standard libraries project-specific solutions and tooling for automated material handling systems Create architecture design documents for software solutions Test and validate product libraries and project-specific software to ensure reliability and performance Analyze Problem Reports PRs and Change Requests CRs implement resolutions and update the standard library accordingly Facilitate knowledge transfer to other engineers Drive improvements in content processes and tooling Incorporate lessons learned from projects into product process and tooling enhancements Assist the R D team in testing verifying and rolling out product libraries Support and maintain tooling infrastructure essential for product development Job Skills Functional Technical Skills PLC Automation Systems Proficient in Siemens PLC programming S7-1500 series is mandatory S7-300 400 series is optional Strong expertise in PLC programming languages SCL STL are mandatory Knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC platforms is an added advantage Experience in developing safety systems using platforms like Siemens Safety PLCs SCADA IT Systems Hands-on experience with SCADA applications WinCC WebFactory etc Electro-Mechanical Field Technologies Understanding of electro-mechanical components control cabinets and field wiring Proficiency in fieldbus technologies such as Profibus Profinet AS-I and CC-Link Ethernet Testing Quality Assurance Experience with testing tools like Quality Center and Requirement Management tools e g DOORS Strong knowledge of material handling and industrial automation systems Personal Attributes Soft Skills Strong communication skills Proactive and takes initiative Creative and innovative mindset Disciplined and well-organized Team player with a collaborative attitude Results-oriented with a strong drive for success Analytical thinker with problem-solving abilities Qualification B E B Tech in Electrical Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized university institution Experience 5 to 8 years of relevant experience preferably in logistics process automation using Siemens PLC platforms
