About the Role The US mortgage underwriting position is critical in evaluating loan applications and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will play a key role in assessing risk and making informed decisions to support our clients' needs. Responsibilities - Review and analyze loan applications and supporting documentation. - Assess borrower creditworthiness and risk factors. - Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines. - Communicate with loan officers and clients to gather additional information as needed. - Make informed decisions on loan approvals or denials. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field. - Relevant certifications in mortgage underwriting are a plus. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in Live mortgage underwriting. - Strong understanding of Conventional/FHA/VA loan programs. - Proficiency in Encompass or similar mortgage origination software. Required Skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent attention to detail. - Proficient in mortgage underwriting software and tools. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Skills - Experience in the US Mortgage Live Underwriting is must. - Knowledge of current mortgage regulations and compliance standards. - Strong understanding of Conventional/FHA/VA loan programs. Pay range and compensation package The salary for this position ranges from 15 lakhs to 25 lakhs Indian Rupees annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
