Leads and collaborates with the Principal Platform Engineers to provide support to the Technical Product Owner in the maintenance of the Platform Engineering Product Backlog s Takes some responsibility for the delivery and quality of Platform Infrastructure solutions which adhere to current team standards and delivery methodologies Develops World class platform tools using Open-Source technology and good practice Providing SaaS style or deployable solutions to the various tribes with The Very Group Demonstrates strong coaching skills and effective and appropriate communication with colleagues and customers at all levels both formally and informally Challenge members of the Platform Engineering teams to provide a cloud environment that is world class in automation security performance availability cost flexibility and ease of use Works cooperatively within the team to achieve a common goal reporting as necessary or taking action to resolve and remove impediments Helps foster a culture of in-house technical knowledge and use of open source over vendor solutions and 3rd party reliance Advises and supports automated testing capabilities within the Platform Engineering team and the wider Engineering and QA communities Works within Platform Engineering Product Tribes to provide expert DevSecOps support and to ensure best practices are being adhered to and to deliver their requirements and goals Takes the initiative to ensure technical skills and specialisations are kept up to date in line with industry standards Provides out of hours support for applications to ensure the shop stays open and fully functional Your Future at Kyndryl The career path ahead is full of exciting opportunities to grow and advance within the job family With dedication and hard work you can climb the ladder to higher bands achieving coveted positions such as Principal Engineer or Vice President of Software These roles not only offer the chance to inspire and innovate but also bring with them a sense of pride and accomplishment for having reached the pinnacle of your career in the software industry Who You Are You re good at what you do and possess the required experience to prove it However equally as important - naturally inclusive in how you work with others Required Technical and Professional Experience 8 Years experience with GitLab BitBucket Jenkins Kubernetes Docker Terraform AWS Nexus NuGet JFrog Artifactory CloudRepo and Docker Image Repositories Strong understanding of REST APIs and integration methods Proficiency with Linux UNIX operating systems In-depth knowledge of Ansible Chef and Puppet for configuration management Experience with CI CD pipelines and automation tools Experience in monitoring and troubleshooting production environments Familiarity with Nginx for web server configurations and load balancing Strong skills in version control with Git Preferred Technical and Professional Experience Strong knowledge of SQL for managing and querying relational databases optimizing queries and performing data migrations Expertise in developing integrating and maintaining RESTful APIs Experience with OpenShift Proficiency in writing and managing AWS CloudFormation templates for Infrastructure as Code IaC to automate the provisioning and management of AWS resources Experience with SaltStack for automation configuration management and orchestration of systems and applications including provisioning and maintaining infrastructure Expertise in CI CD familiarity with AWS API Being You Diversity is a whole lot more than what we look like or where we come from it s how we think and who we are We welcome people of all cultures backgrounds and experiences But we re not doing it single-handily Our Kyndryl Inclusion Networks are only one of many ways we create a workplace where all Kyndryls can find and provide support and advice This dedication to welcoming everyone into our company means that Kyndryl gives you -
