Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Authorization Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP security, with expertise in managing SAP user access, roles, and authorizations. You will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our SAP systems, implementing security policies, and resolving authorization issues to support the smooth operation of our SAP environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the creation, maintenance, and management of SAP user accounts, roles, and authorizations in compliance with security best practices.
- Conduct regular security audits and compliance checks to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring adherence to organizational and industry security standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain SAP security policies, procedures, and guidelines to safeguard user access and system integrity.
- Resolve SAP authorization-related issues, working closely with functional and technical teams to troubleshoot and provide solutions.
- Work with the SAP Basis and ABAP teams to ensure proper integration of security measures across the SAP landscape, maintaining optimal system performance.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users and internal teams on SAP security best practices, ensuring secure and efficient use of the SAP environment.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation on SAP security configurations, roles, and authorization changes, ensuring clear records for audits and system updates.
- Monitor SAP security logs and performance, identifying potential threats or performance issues and taking appropriate corrective action.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience in SAP security, specifically with SAP Basis, user roles, and authorizations.
- Strong knowledge of SAP security concepts, role management, authorization profiles, and troubleshooting security-related issues in SAP environments.
- Solid understanding of business processes across functions (Finance, HR, Procurement, etc.) and how they integrate with SAP access controls.
- Candidates must possess a foundational understanding of core business processes across functions such as Materials Management, Planning, Procurement, Production, and Warehouse Management.
- Familiarity with SAP security tools, such as SAP GRC, and knowledge of ABAP/technical aspects related to SAP security is a plus.
- Understanding of SAP security standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex authorization issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and train users.

Additional Requirements:

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in SAP Security or related fields is a plus (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP Basis).
