Production Manager

Role Production Manager Type Full-time Location Vasanthanarasapura Industrial Area Tumkur Role Brief We are supporting Magcore in hiring a key role Production Manager to lead day-to-day production across one or more key manufacturing lines stamping laminations die-casting press shop operations or related precision component processes depending on the candidate s experience and plant requirements The role is hands-on and requires strong shop-floor leadership the ability to manage supervisors and operators and the discipline to run stable efficient and high-quality production operations Key Responsibilities Production Planning and Execution Manage daily production activities to meet output quality and delivery targets Execute shift plans in coordination with PPC ensuring material availability and machine readiness Monitor machine utilization cycle times and production rates across assigned lines Coordinate closely with supervisors and operators to maintain workflow stability Shop-Floor Leadership Maintain strong presence on the shop floor across all shifts Ensure discipline adherence to SOPs and timely shift handovers Provide guidance to supervisors and operators on process issues bottlenecks and improvements Resolve on-ground production challenges with minimal downtime Quality Safety and Process Control Ensure adherence to quality standards work instructions and process parameters Support in-root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues Work with Quality and Safety teams to maintain audit readiness and safe operating practices Drive adherence to safety protocols PPE usage and housekeeping 5S Maintenance Coordination Work closely with the Maintenance team to manage breakdowns and reduce downtime Communicate machine issues promptly and follow up on repairs preventive maintenance and tooling needs Ensure proper upkeep and availability of dies tools and fixtures for production Manpower and Shift Management Lead a team of supervisors operators and contract workforce within assigned production areas Plan manpower for shifts based on workload and requirements Support training and skill-building for operators and new joiners Maintain fair discipline and handle routine workforce issues in coordination with HR Continuous Improvement Identify improvements in productivity scrap reduction cycle time handling and layout Support lean practices 5S kaizen and other improvement initiatives Work with the Process Improvement team for trials data collection and implementation Reporting and Documentation Update daily production reports downtime logs tool usage and scrap records Review shift performance and escalate issues to the Plant Head as required Maintain accurate documentation required for customer audits and internal reviews Requirements Diploma or Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Production Industrial Engineering Proven of experience in production management within manufacturing Experience in stamping laminations die-casting press shop motor components or precision metal parts is preferred Experience managing supervisors and large operator teams in a multi-shift environment Strong shop-floor leadership and hands-on problem solving Good understanding of machine operations tooling dies and process parameters Ability to coordinate with maintenance quality PPC and HR Strong discipline follow-up and communication skills Comfort with production reporting documentation and audits Job Type Full-time Pay 1 500 000 00 - 2 100 000 00 per year Application Question s What is your current role title How many years of experience do you have in production manufacturing operations Do you have production experience in stamping laminations die-casting press shop or motor components Have you worked with thin electrical steel or precision stamping lines What production volume output do you currently manage monthly Have you managed supervisors operators shift teams Are you comfortable working from the Tumkur plant Vasanthanarasapura Monday-Saturday What is your Current CTC INR What is your Expected CTC INR What is your Notice period days Work Location In person
