About Businessline/Function Financial Accounting and Reporting Analyst for Balance sheet and PL, Accounting Controls Associate Level 1 Job Title Associate Date Department: Finance Shared Services Location: Mumbai Business Line / Function CIB Reports To (Direct) Manager Grade (if applicable) (Functional) Number Of Direct Reports Directorship / Registration: NA Position Purpose- Head Office Reporting - Ensure the financial reporting to Head Office - Accounting production and statutory accounts Contribute to the documentation and automation of the processes Responsibilities Direct Responsibilities Head Office Reporting - Prepare the financial reporting sent on a monthly basis to the Head Office: P&L, balance sheet, off balance sheet, annexes, tax book, regulatory reporting schedules - Prepare ad hoc Financial Reportings for Head office upon request - Contribute to accounting controls and analysis as defined by the BNP Paribas Standard Accounting Control Plan. - Contribute to inter-company transactions reconciliation. - Ensure the good coordination with the Regional Financial Reporting team, in particular during the pre-closing process and whenever an accounting issue needs to be addressed - Participate to Finance Projects linked to Head Office Financial Reporting - Contribute to BNP Paribas operational permanent control framework. - Monitor Financial Reporting through key performance and key risk indicators. In particular contribute to the elimination of manual reclassifications and warnings/missing items. Accounting Production - Application of accounting processes and checks in respect of the financial reporting under IFRS and French GAAP. Statutory accounts for subsidiaries. Contributing Responsibilities - Project responsibilities covering all financial accounting aspects of project work. - Contribute to accounting controls and analysis as defined by the BNP Paribas Standard Accounting Control Plan. Candidate Requirements For The Role - Education Background: - MBA Finance - #years of experience: - Associate 0 to 1 years experience - Technical knowledge & Skills: - Strong knowledge of accounting - knowledge of Financial Products - Comfortable with basic office tools (Lotus Notes, MS Word, Outlook) - Excellent knowledge and use of MS Excel - Preferred Industry / Domain experience : - Former experiences within a Finance function in Banking and Financial Services - Behavioural Skills / Competencies: - Good communication skill - Very high comfort with working with numbers: rigor, analytical mind-set, ability to interpret numbers - Strong sense of organization, ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines - Hard working - Team spirit - Curiosity and open to other cultures - Contribute to inter-company transactions reconciliation Transversal Skills: (Please select up to 5 skills) Ability to develop and adapt a process Ability to understand, explain and support change Choose an item.
