WHY JOIN US If you're looking for a place to grow, make an impact, and work with people who care, we'd love to meet you ABOUT THE ROLE As a Java + Elasticsearch Engineer, you'll be part of a high-performing POD team developing scalable, cloud-native data solutions that power ESG analytics and real-time search capabilities. You'll build robust APIs, optimize data pipelines, and enhance system performance across GCP and Elasticsearch environments. This role offers the chance to work with modern technologies, contribute to sustainability-driven engineering, and grow within a collaborative, agile setup. WHAT YOU WILL DO - Design scalable architecture and data models in collaboration with cross-functional teams; - Build and maintain data pipelines integrating BigQuery with Elasticsearch; - Develop and optimize API services (e.g., Nexa-Screener) for high-performance queries; - Deliver minimal UI components for screening, query building, and backend integration; - Conduct end-to-end testing, performance validation, deployment, and monitoring; - Support scalable ESG data processing, real-time analytics, and robust search solutions aligned with sustainability initiatives. MUST HAVES -5+ years of experience in backend or data engineering roles; - Strong programming skills in Java (Spring Boot preferred); - Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch for real-time search and analytics; - Experience in designing Elasticsearch indexes and optimizing search/query performance; - Familiarity with relational/NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, BigQuery); - Hands-on experience with GCP or other cloud platforms; - Solid grasp of distributed systems and API design; - Experience with CI/CD and containerization tools like Docker/Kubernetes; - Comfort working in Agile/Scrum environments; - Upper-intermediate English level.
