Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data infrastructure using Microsoft Azure cloud services. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver robust data solutions that support advanced analytics and business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and implement scalable data pipelines leveraging Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Data Lake Storage, and Azure Blob Storage.
- Integrate data from multiple sources, including on-premises systems and various cloud platforms.
- Build and maintain data warehouses and data lakes ensuring high performance and data integrity.
- Optimize data storage and retrieval processes for efficiency, scalability, and cost management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand data requirements.
- Ensure the security, quality, and compliance of all data processes according to organizational standards.
- Automate and orchestrate complex data workflows and pipelines utilizing Azure Data Factory or similar tools.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve existing data workflows and infrastructure.
- Stay updated with emerging Azure data technologies, tools, Best practices, and industry standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Proven experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, especially Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Blob Storage.
- Strong SQL skills with experience in relational and non-relational database management.
- Programming proficiency in Python, Spark, or Scala for data processing tasks.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with data governance, security, privacy protocols, and compliance standards.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices relevant to data engineering.
- Azure certifications are preferred and considered a plus.
- Familiarity with big data technologies such as HDInsight, Databricks, or Hadoop.
- Knowledge of machine learning and advanced analytics tools is advantageous.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results effectively.
- Adaptability to emerging technologies and changing project requirements.

Secondary Skills:

- Ability to clearly communicate complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile environments (SCRUM methodology).
- Demonstrated leadership skills and team collaboration experience.
- Experience in the financial sector is a plus.
- Comfort with working from the office three days a week.
