Company DescriptionWe are a startup working on an investing platform for algo tradingNO FRESHERS Please read the job description before applying We are seeking a skilled Data Platform Admin and Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru India In this role you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our data platform infrastructure ensuring its reliability scalability and performance You will work with cutting-edge technologies such as Python PostgreSQL TimescaleDB and Ubuntu to support our data-driven initiatives Design implement and maintain robust data platform solutions using Python PostgreSQL and TimescaleDB Administer and optimize Ubuntu-based systems to ensure optimal performance of our data infrastructure Develop and maintain ETL processes to integrate data from various sources into our data platform Implement data security measures and ensure compliance with data protection regulations Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to data platform performance and functionality Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide technical solutions Continuously monitor and optimize database performance implementing improvements as needed Develop and maintain documentation for data platform processes and procedures Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and platform administration Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field 3 years of experience in data platform administration and engineering Strong proficiency in Python programming and PostgreSQL database management Hands-on experience with TimescaleDB and Ubuntu Linux administration Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts data modeling and database design Experience with ETL processes and big data technologies Familiarity with cloud platforms e g AWS Azure GCP is a plus Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Relevant certifications e g PostgreSQL Linux are advantageous Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
