Position OverviewAn Airline Cabin Crew Trainer is responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating training programs for aspiring and existing flight attendants. The trainer acts as a mentor, educator, and evaluator, guiding trainees in areas such as in-flight safety procedures, customer service excellence, emergency response, cultural awareness, and compliance with aviation regulations. Cabin Crew Trainers work closely with airline management, regulatory authorities, and other training specialists to ensure that all training content aligns with industry standards, aviation safety laws, and company policies. This role requires a strong background in aviation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire confidence and professionalism in trainees.Key Responsibilities Training Program Development Design and update training materials, lesson plans, manuals, and presentations for both new and experienced cabin crew members. Ensure training content meets the requirements of aviation authorities such as the DGCA, FAA, EASA, or ICAO. Incorporate changes in regulations, aircraft types, or service protocols into training modules. Delivery of Training Sessions Conduct classroom-based, simulator-based, and on-the-job training sessions. Teach safety procedures, first aid, evacuation drills, security awareness, and customer service techniques. Use practical demonstrations, role plays, and multimedia tools to enhance trainee engagement. Assessment and Evaluation Conduct written tests, oral assessments, and practical evaluations to gauge trainee knowledge and competence. Provide constructive feedback and identify areas where additional coaching is required. Maintain accurate training records and performance reports. Safety and Emergency Training Train cabin crew on emergency equipment usage, such as life jackets, oxygen masks, fire extinguishers, and evacuation slides. Conduct simulated drills for scenarios like medical emergencies, turbulence, security threats, and ditching procedures. Customer Service and Soft Skills Training Coach crew members on hospitality standards, cultural sensitivity, and conflict resolution. Train on professional grooming, body language, and communication etiquette. Compliance and Quality Control Ensure training programs comply with both internal airline policies and civil aviation regulations. Participate in audits and inspections conducted by aviation authorities. Mentoring and Guidance Support newly recruited crew during their probationary period through mentoring. Offer career guidance and encourage continuous professional development. Coordination and Reporting Liaise with the airline’s HR, safety, and operations departments for training scheduling.
