Wood India Consulting division is currently recruiting for Lead Engineer - Asset Integrity to join the team focusing on ALO projects within our Digital Consulting Division. This position is based in Chennai and because success in the role will require in-person contact with the team, remote work is not an option. The Role The Lead Engineer Asset Integritywill provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise, ensuring successful delivery of assigned projects within time and budget constraints. This role typically oversees multiple projects simultaneously, managing resources and guiding team members to achieve project goals. Our Clients and Projects Designing the future. Our Asset Lifecycle Optimisation business unit provides Integrity Management Services, Structural Integrity Engineering, Computational Analysis and Rotating and Reciprocating Equipment Control to our clients. We support our clients across conventional energy to ensure Energy Security and play a key role in decarbonising assets. We also work closely with clients across the Energy Transition sector supporting projects across Hydrogen transportation and production, and Carbon Capture, Storage and Utilisation (CCUS). What we can offer - Meaningful and interesting projectsdelivered to high profile clients across the Energy Sector within the UK and other international locations as required - Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion;we are an organisation actively committed to diversity and inclusion across our business - Competitive renumeration packagewith regular reviews to ensure we are rewarding at the right level in line with the market - Commitment to continued professional development;development plans that are tailored to your individual needs and interests - Global connections; join experts around the world who are at the leading edge of our industry, shaping the standards of our profession Responsibilities The key objectives for this role are: - Provide expert technical leadership in asset integrity across multiple projects and scopes - Develop and implement integrity management systems, inspection strategies, and life extension studies. - Prepare integrity assessment reports, including Fitness for Service and repair recommendations - Apply industry codes and standards (e.g., API, ASME) to deliver compliant and effective solutions - Lead technical delivery of consulting scopes such as risk-based inspection, corrosion assessment, and structural integrity - Manage project execution, ensuring delivery within budget, schedule, and quality expectations - Mentor and guide junior engineers, supporting their technical development and task execution - Represent the asset integrity discipline in client engagements, project meetings, and workshops - Contribute to innovation initiatives and continuous improvement across engineering practices - Lead or support proposal development, client relationship management, and commercial strategy - Supervise small technical teams, delegating tasks and coordinating engineering activities - Promote a positive team culture, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and operational excellence standards Qualifications What makes you remarkable At Wood, we are committed to equal opportunities and welcome all talented individuals to consider joining our team. Expected: - Proven experience of working in the on- and offshore oil and gas industry - Demonstrable senior technical experience in Integrity Management, Integrity Engineering Methodology and engineering project management - Demonstratable experience in the selection, application, and utilisation of asset integrity management software (such as NEXUS IC) - Suitable engineering/metallurgical degree and education from a recognised Academic institution.
