Job Title- Material Planner

Job Location- Baddi

Business Unit- Mars Wrigley

Job Purpose- This position is playing a key role in Production and ensuring that the materials are present in the right/efficient quantity for a continuous production. Inventory, Reduction in Obsoletes, Agility being the key KPIs.

Key responsibilities-

- The material planner is responsible to get the materials in the Gums, Mints and Fruity Confectionary Factory (Baddi Factory- 500 materials including Imports, Exports, JIT) which compliments to production plan (from the supply planner) and also accounts for production/lead time variation into calculations.

- Design, development, and implementation of materials management strategies concepts along the Supply Chain - in the right optimum quantity - considering limited capital, storage space, shelf life, Production Strategy & Requirements

- Strategy on Inventory covering the risk of stock outs & NQC to be determined

- Lead Material Planning Automation for MW India and make process self-sustainable.

- Key driver to assure sustainable Process Excellence (Planning Execution) in a multi echelon supply structure. To manage the flow of materials within the respective market organization ensuring that there is an optimization of stock and service level at all locations in line with company objective.

- Determining the required materials and generating purchase orders.

- Ensuring the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production - offer and track promised material delivery dates.

- Coordinate with operations, engineering, purchasing and quality to attain production goals

- Tracking production volume and monitoring production patterns and purchasing trends.

- Interact with Vendors/Commercial team to ensure a smooth & desired supply

- Attend Factory meetings and provide support/inputs for a smooth production at factory

- Provide inputs/play a key role in ATG to ensure that the new projects are launched on time

Education & Professional Qualification

- B. Tech or MBA (Supply Chain & Operations)

Experience-

- 4 years + Experience with Excellent communication Skills

- Diversity candidates would be preferred

- Should have managed Planning (Material/Supply/Procurement) for a FMCG company

- Adept on Excel/PPT skills & comfortable with numbers/Data Analysis

- Experience of a Software platform/ERP will be an advantage
