About The Role We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Inventory Analyst to support planning, forecasting, and operational decision-making across our supply chain network. This role will work closely with planning, operations, procurement, and finance teams to build data-driven insights and improve forecasting accuracy, inventory health, and network efficiency. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of supply chain metrics, and experience turning data into actionable strategies. Key Responsibilities - Demand & Supply Planning - Develop and maintain demand forecasts using historical data, sales trends, and market intelligence. - Support supply planning to ensure optimal stock levels across warehouses, dark stores, or hubs. - Identify demand-supply gaps and coordinate with planning and procurement teams to bridge them. - Forecasting & Analytics - Build and manage forecasting models using tools like Excel, SQL, Power BI, or Python. - Analyze historical trends, seasonality, and business drivers to improve forecast accuracy. - Prepare and present weekly/monthly demand vs. actual performance reports with root-cause analysis and corrective actions. - Network & Inventory Optimization - Analyze inventory turns, stock cover, and fill rates to improve working capital efficiency. - Recommend actions to reduce stock-outs and excess inventory while ensuring service level adherence. - Evaluate warehouse performance, transport costs, and fulfillment efficiency to support continuous improvement. - Decision Support & Reporting - Partner with business and operations teams to identify opportunities for process improvement. - Develop and automate dashboards and MIS reports for leadership review. - Support key business reviews with data insights, trend analysis, and performance tracking. - Cross-functional Collaboration - Work closely with procurement, finance, and operations teams to align plans with business objectives. - Provide analytical support for new city launches, network expansion, and cost optimization initiatives. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) - Forecast Accuracy (%) - Inventory Health (Days of Cover / Stock Turns) - Fill Rate & Service Level Adherence - Stock-out / Excess Inventory % - Data Reporting Accuracy & Timeliness Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred). - 58 years of experience in supply chain analytics, planning, or forecasting roles preferably in Quick Commerce, E-commerce, FMCG, or Logistics sectors. - Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, SQL, and data visualization tools (Power BI / Tableau). - Familiarity with statistical forecasting techniques and planning tools is a plus.
