Job Purpose To support in implementing different emerging technologies for the Mining Business Job Context Major Challenges The Mineral Resources Mining business started its journey in the year 1950 with Iron Ore Mining and since then enjoyed the status of being among India s largest iron ore mining companies It has gradually diversified into other verticals like Noble Ferro Alloys Windpower mining of other minerals and value additions to the Iron Ore through the setting up Pelletisation and Benefication plant Currenlty the Commercial Coal vertical and Diamond Mining verticals are under the project stage The Noble Ferro Alloys division of Essel Mining Industries Limited EMIL is located at Vapi in Gujarat and with a manufacturing capacity of 10 020 Metric Tons Per Annum MTPA of different types of Ferro Alloys the company is the largest producer of high quality Noble Ferro Alloys in the country Commissioned in 2004-05 EMIL s wind farm is spread over Dhule and Nandurbar districts of Maharashtra and has an installed capacity of 75 MW The entire power generated from these windmills is presently supplied to Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited MSEDCL In 2011 EMIL also forayed into coal mining business following the Government of India s decision to invite private participation to bridge the scarcity in coal production EMIL became the first MDO in India when it was awarded the Bhubaneswari open cast project now the largest coal mine under Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd MCL in Odisha There is another operational Coal MDO- Rajmahal Coal Mining Limited RCML in Jharkhand states The pelletisation beneficiation facility called PMPL was acquired through NCLT route in 2019 and has started producing recently The unit is located close to our existing Iron Ore setup in Odisha It has 1Mtpa Iron Ore Beneficiation and Pelletisation CPT plant The business has now ventured into Commercial Coal Mining Diamond Mining which are at project stage EMIL participated in the auction for Commercial Coal Mining through its 100 subsidiary EMMRL and emerged highest bidder for two blocks of Bandha Geological Reserves 442 Mn Ton and Radhikapur East Geological Reserves 176 Mn Ton in the states of Madhya Pradesh and Odisha respectively Bunder Diamond Project is located in Chhatarpur Madhya Pradesh It is a diamond mine with an estimated deposit of 34 million carats Major Challenges a Core connectivity issue in managing system application b Frequent change in emerging technologies Responsibilities Software Solution Development Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand business requirements and develop robust software solutions Integrate multiple existing components applications into the overall application architecture Ensure seamless interaction between cloud services and on-premises systems Database Design and Management Develop and maintain relational and non-relational databases to support application performance and business operations Optimize SQL queries stored procedures indexing and database normalization for efficiency and scalability Implement data security best practices including backup strategies access control and encryption Troubleshoot and resolve database-related performance bottlenecks Code Review and Quality Assurance Review code provide constructive feedback and enforce coding standards Implement unit testing integration testing and automation testing to ensure high-quality maintainable and robust applications Application Security Enforce secure coding practices to mitigate risks such as SQL injection cross-site scripting XSS and data breaches Implement identity and access management IAM encryption and compliance with relevant security standards ISO 27001 Performance Optimization Monitor and optimize applications for scalability speed and cost efficiency Conduct load testing and performance analysis to identify and resolve bottlenecks Project Management Collaboration Work closely with project managers business analysts and IT teams to define project scope timelines and resource requirements Provide regular updates on project status risks and mitigation strategies
