Job Description

This role is for a Technical Manager with a strong background in database platforms on Azure Cloud, particularly within the healthcare domain. The ideal candidate will be a leader who can manage projects, design and optimize scalable database solutions, and mentor a team while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations like HIPAA.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage database platform projects on Azure Cloud, ensuring alignment with healthcare industry standards and compliance.
- Design, implement, and optimize scalable database solutions using Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, and other Azure data services.
- Oversee the development and deployment of data pipelines using Databricks and Informatica for ETL/ELT processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders, to deliver high-quality healthcare data solutions.
- Monitor and ensure database performance, security, and availability in a cloud environment.
- Manage and mentor a team of database administrators and developers focused on Azure-based healthcare data platforms.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and other relevant data privacy standards.
- Plan and execute cloud migration strategies for legacy healthcare databases to Azure.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for data management, integration, and automation using modern Azure tools.
- Provide technical guidance on best practices for data governance, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.

Skills

Required Skills:

- Strong experience with database platforms on Azure Cloud.
- Extensive knowledge of the healthcare domain.
- Exposure to Databricks and Informatica.
- Expertise in designing and implementing scalable database solutions.
- Proven ability to lead and manage projects and teams.
- Strong understanding of database performance, security, and compliance (e.g., HIPAA).
