Minimum Exp Reqd: 1 year full-time Date of Joining: Immediate joiners preferred We are hiring a hands-on Accountant to own day-to-day accounting, compliance, and reporting for the company and maintain directors’ personal books of accounts with the highest standards of confidentiality. This role sits at the heart of our finance operations in a fast-paced startup environment with strong growth exposure. Key Responsibilities: Books & Reporting - Maintain accurate books of accounts in Zoho Books (and Excel/Google Sheets as needed) - Prepare monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and management MIS with variance analysis - Perform bank, vendor, customer, and inter-company reconciliations; manage petty cash and advances Compliance (India) - GST: GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual returns, reconciliations (2A/2B), E-invoices, E-way bills - TDS/TCS: Monthly workings and challans, quarterly returns (24Q/26Q), Form 16/16A, compliance with sections and thresholds - Income Tax: Advance tax workings, year-end computations, coordination for company ITR - Payroll & Statutory: Payroll processing, PF/ESI/PT challans and returns, gratuity tracking - Support statutory audit, tax audit and year-end close; coordinate with external CA/CS firms AP/AR & Treasury - Vendor onboarding and 3-way matching, payment runs, credit control, ageing and follow-ups - Optimize cash flow; prepare weekly cash forecasts and payables/receivables dashboards Directors’ Personal Books - Maintain personal ledgers, investment and loan schedules, reimbursements, and tax documentation - Ensure strict confidentiality, secure records, and timely filings Process & Controls - Standardize SOPs, close checklists, document retention, and maker-checker controls - Identify automation opportunities within Zoho Books and related tools Must-Have Qualifications - Education: B.Com / M.Com / CA-Intermediate - Experience: 1–3 years in India accounting and compliance (startup or MSME exposure is a plus) - Tools: Zoho Books (mandatory), advanced Excel/Sheets; familiarity with Tally is a plus - Knowledge: Solid command of Ind-AS basics, GST, TDS/TCS, PF/ESI/PT, income tax, and audit support - Skills: Accuracy, speed, ownership mindset, strong reconciliation and documentation discipline - Integrity: High professional ethics and confidentiality given access to sensitive information Why Join Us - High-ownership role with exposure across finance, compliance, and strategic decision-making - Startup environment with fast learning, autonomy, and growth opportunities - Opportunity to shape processes and implement best-in-class controls
