Designation Optical design and simulation Engineer Manager M1 and below location Mumbai Experience in years 8 years Role Optical Design and development for LED Luminaries Principal Responsibility Generate develop the concepts for lens diffuser etc design to achieve required pattern To plan an optical system right from inception to developing it and completing the project on the given deadline To conduct research and development activities for improving optical efficiency of the product To design and develop prototypes and components to meet the specifications To analyze and review the suitability and completeness of the designed systems by conducting various tests To evaluate the performance of the designed system and make suggestions to improve it Knowledge Requirements Interpersonal skills and informational skill set Proficient in using software Design tools such as TracePro Dialux AutoCAD Solidworks or any CAD platform etc Good knowledge of various compliance standards IS IEC and validation test in lighting and optics Knowledge of the design for manufacturability and assembly Proficient in selection of materials and components as per functional and standard requirement Documentation management BOM designs testing data ASM drawings etc Develop the documentation and process in order to deliver the organizational objective Photometric Testing and Optical analysis of Luminaries using instruments like Integrating Sphere Goniophotometer as per IESNA LM79-08 BIS 16106 Formal Education Masters Bachelor in Optical Engineering lighting from reputed Colleges or equivalent
