Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and analytical FP&A Analyst to support our Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) clients. This role is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and providing financial insights that enable senior management to make data-driven decisions. The FP&A analyst will partner with business units, finance teams, and senior stakeholders to deliver accurate financial reporting, performance analysis, and strategic planning support.

Key Responsibilities

- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support preparation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and multi-year financial plans.
- Collaborate with business units and finance teams to gather assumptions and validate inputs.
- Develop scenario modeling, sensitivity analysis, and "what-if" projections for decision-making.
- Ensure consistency of budgeting processes across business lines and geographies.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date performance analysis against budget/forecast.
- Prepare variance analysis with insights on revenue, cost, margin, and profitability drivers.
- Provide commentary and management packs for senior leadership and board reporting.
- Develop dashboards and MIS reports for business performance tracking.
- Strategic & Business Partnering
- Partner with business heads to assess financial impact of strategic initiatives, new products, and investments.
- Provide financial models and analysis to support business cases and decision-making.
- Monitor KPIs, cost efficiency initiatives, and profitability by segment or product line.
- Controls & Governance
- Ensure financial data integrity and alignment between FP&A and accounting/controlling teams.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation for budgets, forecasts, and management reports.
- Comply with internal policies, governance frameworks, and regulatory standards relevant to BFSI.
- Process Improvement & Automation
- Drive automation of FP&A processes including forecasting models, reporting packs, and dashboards.
- Implement best practices in financial modeling and analytics.
- Support digital transformation and system enhancements (e.g., Oracle FCCS, Hyperion, Anaplan, Cognix, SAP BPC).

Qualifications & Skills

- Education:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Professional qualifications (CA, CFA, CPA, CIMA) preferred.
- Experience:
- 4–9 years of FP&A or financial analysis experience within BFSI (banking, insurance, asset management).
- Technical Skills:
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis expertise.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and FP&A tools (Oracle FCCS, Hyperion, Anaplan, Cognix).
- Understanding of BFSI products, profitability drivers, and regulatory environment.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate numbers into insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with cross-functional teams.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Accuracy and timeliness of budgets, forecasts, and management reports.
- Quality of variance analysis and insights delivered to management.
- Effectiveness of financial models and business cases.
- Process improvements and automation implemented.
- Stakeholder satisfaction (business units, leadership, regulators).
