Job Description About Marketing The Marketing Department plays a vital role in promoting the Axis Brand and building scale for subsidiaries. The Key role of the marketing function is to influence consumer behavior & help the various businesses of the bank achieve their business goals by developing a cohesive brand & marketing strategy that drives awareness, affinity & therefore consideration for Brand Axis. Marketing department is also the custodian of Brand Axis, (i.e.) What does the Brand stand for, Our Brand Philosophy etc. . About the Role Why does the role exist As head of product marketing for Cards & Payments, the role will be responsible for: The role is to design and execute marketing strategic campaigns that can drive awareness, create customer engagement, and contribute to value and volume growth for Cards- Credit, Debit, Cobrand etc. The role will also play a crucial role in enhancing the overall Axis Bank brand image, increase product category awareness and devise strategies roadmap for the growth for the business. Key Responsibilities .Lead End to end strategic marketing planning, design, and communication .Develop the go-to-market plan for the launch of new products and yearly promotion of existing products in line with business objectives and metrics .Strengthen awareness and preference for products, amongst key target groups of existing and new customers while always adhering to brand guidelines and brand key .Conceptualize and design insightful customer communication, and recommend media strategy for relevant target audience, basis understanding of customer demographics, psychographics, and needs .Plan marketing budgets for respective products, identifying measurement metrics and evaluating impact of spends .Engage meaningfully with internal stakeholders including product & business teams and external partners e.g., design & media agencies, to successfully deliver on identified goals .Mentor and guide the team, and set an example to encourage culture of innovation, test & learn and customer centricity .Stay updated on industry/ market trends, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and challenges. Qualifications Optimal qualification for success on the job is: .MBA from Tier 1 B-schools / institute .6 - 10 years of Experience in Marketing .Prior experience in consumer / retail products in Financial Industry Role Proficiencies: For successful execution of the job, a candidate should possess the following: .Knowledge Reasonable understanding of data and analytics, mar tech tool and media platforms Good understanding of banking products and services and competition landscape specifically cards & payments .Skills Good communication and presentation skills - both verbal & written Excellent stakeholder management and inter-personal skills Project management skills to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously .Abilities Ability to work effectively across functions and demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others Ability to prioritize and make decisions in a fast-paced environment Ability to work as a part of team and contribute towards team goals Ability to conceptualize and implement marketing strategies with a view to strengthen brand preference and awareness
