Job Title: Infrastructure Specialist - System Administration Skills: Unix, WebLogic, Azure Devops Job Locations: Bengaluru Experience: 3 - 5Years Education Qualification: Any Graduation Work Mode: Work from Office Employment Type: Contract Notice Period: Immediate - 15 Days Interview Mode: Offline interview Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Specialist with strong Unix system administration skills to join our technology operations team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing, monitoring, and supporting Unix-based environments to ensure high availability, performance, and security of critical systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve system-related issues, implement improvements, and support ongoing infrastructure initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for day-to-day system administration tasks such as user and permission management, performance tuning, log analysis, patching, troubleshooting, and automation of routine operational activities. A basic understanding of WebLogic administration and Azure DevOps processes is required, as you will be supporting application deployments and assisting with CI/CD-related tasks. Although not mandatory, having exposure to ETL tools—especially IBM DataStage—will be considered an added advantage, enabling smoother coordination with data engineering teams during integration or maintenance activities. Key Responsibilities: - Perform Unix system administration, including installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and non-production environments. - Monitor system performance, analyze logs, and implement optimizations to ensure system stability. - Manage user accounts, file systems, permissions, and system security. - Assist in WebLogic server support such as deployments, configurations, and basic troubleshooting. - Collaborate with teams using Azure DevOps for code deployment, automation, and release processes. - Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and provide permanent fixes for recurring issues. - Complete routine system patching, upgrades, and compliance activities. - Document procedures, configurations, and best practices. - Work with ETL/DataStage teams when required (good to have, not mandatory). Required Skills: - Strong knowledge and 3+ years of hands-on experience with Unix/Linux system administration. - Good command of shell scripting and command-line utilities. - Basic knowledge of WebLogic administration. - Basic understanding of Azure DevOps tools and workflows. - Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. - Ability to work in a team environment with good communication skills. Good to Have: - Exposure to ETL tools, preferably IBM DataStage. - Knowledge of automation tools or scripting for operational improvements.
