What You Can Expect The primary role of the SAP ABAP Developer consists of designing, developing, testing and maintaining ABAP programs in the SAP ERP environment. The SAP ABAP Developer will work closely with other IT team members to understand the requirements that need to be developed. In addition, the person will provide ongoing 2nd and 3rd level support for the systems(s) within their area of responsibility. How You'll Create Impact - Modifying and troubleshooting existing technical processes and programs - Be proactive, take accountability and ownership of assigned tasks to meet deliverables on time and of quality - Demonstrate teamwork by proactively assisting other team members across projects, sharing knowledge and contributing to team meetings and events - Work independently with the given set of requirements and able to translate them into working code and produce easy to read and understandable documentation - Provide timely status updates to leadership and highlight problems early - Be reachable outside normal office hours for emergency support - Stay up-to-date with the latest developments within the technical area of responsibility What Makes You Stand Out - Result Orientation and getting things done within defined timelines without follow up - Self-Learning abilities to acquire new skills - Have excellent verbal/written communications (English) skills (other languages are a bonus) - To be thorough and pay attention to detail - Be a good team player - Must be self-motivated - Determination and perseverance - Ability to work with minimal supervision Your Background - Tertiary level qualification in business, computer science, computer engineering, software engineering or information systems - SAP ABAP Developer certification(s) - 10+ years of hands-on experience in ABAP development - At least 3 full life cycle implementations - Experience in designing, building, configuring and testing interfaces between various SAP and non-SAP systems using file based transfers and/or integration tools like SAP PI and Mulesoft - Knowledge of User Exits, Customer Exits, BADIs, new enhancement framework - Experience with ALV / Interactive Report/Classical Reports/ OO Programming - Hands-on experience with Module Pool programming - Recent experience in Sales/Logistics (SD/LE), Procurement (MM) and Finance (FI/CO) modules in the SAP ERP/ECC application - Experience developing programs for APAC countries in particularly using Asian/Double byte charsets. - Deep Technical knowledge of SAP ABAP is a Must and should be actively developing/coding EOE/M/F/Vet/Disability
