Job Description

We're building Africa's super-app, starting with food delivery. Founded by a team from UC Berkeley, we're fresh off a $1.2M funding round led by Soma Capital, Sequoia Scout Fund, A16Z Scout Fund, and top Silicon Valley angels. We're hiring an iOS Engineer for a high-impact role to help us bring two new iOS apps to life. This fully remote role provides you with exposure to a fast-moving Silicon Valley startup while allowing you to work IST hours from anywhere in India.

What you'll do

- Achieve feature parity: Analyze two of our Android apps and systematically implement the same features in our existing Swift codebase.
- Develop & refine: Build out our unfinished iOS codebase, connecting to backend APIs and contributing to scalable architecture.
- Collaborate on UI/UX: Translate Figma designs and Android concepts into a polished iOS experience using programmatic UI and XIBs.
- Bug fixing & optimization: Identify and resolve bugs, improve app performance, and ensure smooth user experiences.
- Contribute to product direction: Provide input on software priorities and participate in product decisions.
- Learn & grow: Work directly with the founding team, gaining mentorship in a fast-paced early-stage startup environment.

Qualifications

- Recent graduate or junior developer with a passion for iOS development. Seniors welcome to apply.
- Signals we love: IIT (especially Bombay/Delhi/Madras/Kanpur/Roorkee/Guwahati), exceptional JEE rank (please include in CV), or any standout achievement in any field - tell us something interesting in your CV

Required Skills

- A published iOS app on the Apple App Store (link must be submitted with application required).
- Proficiency in Swift with hands-on experience building iOS projects.
- Familiarity with Apple frameworks: UIKit, Foundation, CoreGraphics.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with PHP/Laravel (helps understand our backend).
- Experience with Android development (a plus if extended past August 23).

The role

- Compensation: $1000$2000/month
- Performance bonus
- Signon bonus
- 0.91.9 lakh/month
- 10.8-22.8 LPA (annualized)
- Dates: July 10 August 23, 2025 (with potential for extension to a permanent role).
- Location: Fully remote, based anywhere in India (Indian working hours).
