PubMatic Nasdaq PUBM is an independent technology company maximizing customer value by delivering digital advertising s supply chain of the future PubMatic s sell-side platform empowers the world s leading digital content creators across the open internet to control access to their inventory and increase monetization by enabling marketers to drive return on investment and reach addressable audiences across ad formats and devices Since 2006 our infrastructure-driven approach has allowed for the efficient processing and utilization of data in real time By delivering scalable and flexible programmatic innovation we improve outcomes for our customers while championing a vibrant and transparent digital advertising supply chain Position DescriptionYou will be working in the CTO team to design and develop high-impact and innovative products at PubMatic You will be responsible for doing POC of modern technologies and innovative ideas and identifying the highest-impact projects at PubMatic You will also be responsible for driving technical innovation and you will be working with engineering product management customer success data center and customer success in multiple areas You will also be participating in ideating engineering excellence projects such as software optimizations performance security and sustainability You will be giving guidance to the engineering team on various projects and initiatives to drive success and productivity You will also be responsible for designing and developing end-to-end product features for the PubMatic platform that would have high transactions per second and will include open RTB Analytics API and other components Responsibilities Responsible for designing and developing software modules for various parts of the system architecture The architecture and design decisions needed to achieve cost-effective and high-performance results Portable high-performance and high-quality code following the best practices for software development and documentation With product and business stakeholders to derive the best strategy for product development which will add significant business value Complex issues discovered in-house as well as in customer environments As a mentor to team members providing guidance support and constructive feedback to help them grow professionally and reach their full potential within the organization A culture of continuous learning and development within the engineering team encouraging team members to pursue relevant training courses attend workshops conferences contests and participate in professional development opportunities To manage a team of 4-5 high-performance technologists Requirements 8-12 years of product development experience with building highly scalable applications using optimal algorithms advanced data structures design patterns multithreading memory management and collections framework Experience in languages such as Java Go lang C data analytics technologies Experience in ad tech analytics open RTB bidding platforms API integrations data and audience etc A solid knowledge of the principles of computer science is desired Working experience in a Linux UNIX environment is mandatory Working experience with relational databases preferably MySQL PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases and database concepts Experience with SQL and database optimization techniques for performance and space Working knowledge of scripting Perl Python Shell Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills Return to Office PubMatic employees throughout the global have returned to our offices via a hybrid work schedule 3 days in office and 2 days working remotely that is intended to maximize collaboration innovation and productivity among teams and across functions Benefits Our benefits package includes the best of what leading organizations provide such as stock options paternity maternity leave healthcare insurance broadband reimbursement As well when we re back in the office we all benefit from a kitchen loaded with healthy snacks and drinks and catered lunches and much more Diversity and Inclusion PubMatic is proud to be an equal opportunity employer we don t just value diversity we promote and celebrate it We do not discriminate on the basis of race religion color national origin gender sexual orientation age marital status veteran status or disability status
