Job Title: Freight Forwarding Assistant Manager – Airfreight Location: Chennai | Mumbai/Pune | Delhi Experience: 10+yrs Company: Leading International Freight Forwdarding Firm Role Overview Handle end-to-end Airfreight operations with a focus on Next Flight Out (NFO), On-Board Courier (OBC), and urgent/priority shipments. Coordinate with airlines, customers, agents, and customs partners to ensure time-bound movement, accurate documentation, and flawless execution. Manage pricing & quoting for airfreight inquiries while negotiating competitive rates and ensuring margin control. Key Responsibilities • Manage airfreight time-critical shipments • Coordinate pickup, booking, uplift, tracking & last-mile completion • Liaise with airlines, WCA agents, transporters & customs brokers • Execute rate quotation & costing for international shipments • Ensure compliance with customs, airline & DGR rules • Maintain SOPs, documentation, and shipment records • Provide real-time escalations & resolution to clients • Work rotational shifts to support 24x7 ops Required Skills & Experience • 3–5 years in international airfreight forwarding • Hands-on Air cargo operations experience • Expert in air routing, transit time selection & carrier negotiation • Strong command of Incoterms, DGR norms & HS Codes • Proven ability in airfreight pricing & rate procurement • MS Office proficiency (Excel, Docs, reporting tools) • Strong communication & customer service skills Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent logistics experience Must Have Valid passport, driving license, and willingness to travel/relocate if needed
