Role Summary: To conduct high-impact, independent research under the mentorship of a faculty member, produce high-quality publications, and contribute to funded research projects within the department's core areas of AI and CSE. To undertake independent, innovative research, secure external funding, mentor doctoral students, and provide exemplary teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the emerging fields of CSE and AI. Essential Qualifications: 1. Education: Ph.D. in an appropriate discipline (CSE, AI, etc.) from a Reputed Foreign University / IIIT / IIT / IISc / Research Institute. First Class or equivalent at the Bachelor's and Master's degree levels is mandatory. 2. Research Excellence: A strong research track record evidenced by high-quality publications in prestigious journals/conferences and demonstrated potential to pursue sustained, impactful research. 3. Postdoctoral Experience: Postdoctoral experience from a premier global institution is a strong preference for Grade I appointment. Key Responsibilities (for Assistant Professor): 1. Research: Establish and maintain an active, independent research program, guide Ph.D. and M.Tech. students, and apply for external research grants (e.g., SERB, DST, MeitY). 2. Teaching: Deliver core and elective courses in areas such as Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Algorithms, and Cyber Security at the UG and PG levels. 3. Service: Participate in departmental and institutional activities, including curriculum design, laboratory development, and various committee assignments.
