Electrical Technician Solar Installation About the Company Company Name is a leading renewable energy company specializing in solar energy solutions We are committed to creating sustainable energy solutions that help reduce carbon footprints and support global efforts towards green energy adoption We are looking for a dedicated Electrical Technician with an electrical engineering background to join our team and contribute to the installation and maintenance of solar energy systems Job Summary As an Electrical Technician specializing in solar installation you will play a crucial role in the installation maintenance and troubleshooting of solar power systems You will be responsible for installing electrical components wiring and connecting solar panel systems to the electrical grid The position requires working in elevated areas including rooftops and high-rise structures to install solar panels and other electrical components Key Responsibilities Solar Installation Install test and maintain solar energy systems including solar panels inverters wiring and associated electrical components Electrical Wiring Connections Perform electrical wiring connections and terminations for solar power systems in compliance with electrical codes and standards On-Site Safety Ensure that all installation and maintenance work is done safely particularly while working at heights or on rooftops following all company and regulatory safety guidelines Troubleshooting Diagnose and resolve electrical issues related to solar power systems including troubleshooting wiring inverters and panel performance System Testing Perform electrical tests to ensure solar systems are working efficiently and safely including voltage testing and load balancing Maintenance Repairs Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of solar energy systems including cleaning performance checks and repair of any faulty components Documentation Keep accurate records of installations repairs and maintenance activities and submit necessary documentation for compliance and reporting purposes Collaboration Work closely with project managers engineers and other team members to ensure timely and quality completion of installations Customer Interaction Provide on-site support and guidance to customers as needed ensuring clear communication about system operations troubleshooting and maintenance Qualifications and Requirements Education A diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering Electrical Technology or a related field Experience Prior experience as an electrical technician with a strong focus on solar energy systems or renewable energy preferred Experience working with electrical panels inverters batteries and other components of solar power systems Skills Strong understanding of electrical systems and circuitry with the ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics Knowledge of safety standards and regulations for working with electrical systems Proficiency with electrical testing equipment and troubleshooting methods Familiarity with solar power systems including installation and maintenance of solar panels inverters and battery systems Physical Requirements Comfortable working in elevated areas including rooftops ladders and scaffolding Ability to work in outdoor environments and at heights training and safety equipment will be provided Physically fit to carry and install solar panels and electrical equipment Safety Awareness Knowledge and adherence to workplace safety standards including working at height electrical safety and using personal protective equipment PPE Driving License Optional but Preferred Valid driving license if travel to multiple sites is required Desirable Traits Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies in the renewable energy sector Working Conditions The role will require working on rooftops ladders and other elevated structures Ability to work in diverse weather conditions including high temperatures or rain depending on location Travel to various work sites may be required Benefits and Opportunities Competitive salary and benefits package Training and development opportunities especially in the renewable energy sector Health insurance and safety gear provided Career growth potential within the company with opportunities to specialize in advanced renewable technologies Work in a dynamic and growing industry that promotes sustainable energy solutions Job Type Full-time Pay 8 086 00 - 29 771 85 per month Benefits Paid sick time Provident Fund Schedule Day shift Experience total work 1 year Preferred Work Location In person
