The Group You ll Be A Part OfAs a Project Engineer you will be part of the Engineering Operations under LIGHT GPE Lam India Global Hardware Technology Global Products Engineering group The Impact You ll MakeAs a Project Engineer at Lam you re not merely managing projects - you re driving advancements integral to the design and development of Lam s products Coordinating with the cross-functional teams you ll steer the execution of engineering projects leveraging your technical prowess and strategic insight to deliver enhanced products Your focus on continuous improvement in the development lifecycle will be pivotal as you own project to optimize and enhance Lam s offerings Eligibility Criteria Bachelor s M Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 6 years and up to 12 years of related experience Primary Responsibilities Facilitate development of Product Option Architecture POA for New Product Development NPD programs Create and release configurable bill of materials BOM and sustain changes through Engineering Change Management ECM process Author change orders CO and implement changes for HVM BOMs by defining cut-in strategies and disposition for the engineering changes Interpret Visio options and POA milestone calendar to align changes for the desired POA cycle Conduct BOM reviews for simple to complex CO s to validate changes for correctness Host review meetings with NPI program management configuration engineering and other functional teams for the configurable BOM changes and follow up until approvals Participate in Design Review meetings and provide inputs on BOM structuring item text logic for new option release Provide immediate response and timely resolution to POA or configuration related issues Train team members on POA NPI activities resolve issues Develop standards BKMs as required for effective POA NPI operationsMandatory Skills required to performing the job Proficient in PLM process Change Order-CO Problem Report-PR Non-Standard Request-NSR Obsolescence-OB Hands on experience with PLM tools iPLM SAP Teamcenter Comprehensive understanding of product structure bill of materials and configuration management Ability to read and retrieve multi-level BOMs where used reports and affected products for a given part assembly Very good understanding of Form Fit Function FFF change and Interchangeability concept Ability to work with dynamic cross functional teams globally and deliver results A self-starter with ability to adapt improvise and problem-solving skills Desirable Skills Experience in working with Mechanical Architectural design teams including Mechanical Electrical Mechatronics Controls and manufacturing for major projects Past work experience in semi-conductor industry with knowledge of semi-tools Organizational skills to manage and track deliverables Able to perform RCCA and drive continuous process improvements Experienced with any ERP database preferably SAP Strong in PLM process methodologies concept to end-of life Exposure to CAD tools like Creo or UG NX integrated with the PLM database Siemens Teamcenter and co-relate CAD structures with POA BOMs Process oriented - existing product engineering processes CompetenciesAgilityContinuous LearningDecision MakingOwnership and AccountabilityProblem SolvingProject ManagementTeamworkOur CommitmentWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued included and empowered to achieve their full potential By bringing unique individuals and viewpoints together we achieve extraordinary results Lam Research Lam or the Company is an equal opportunity employer Lam is committed to and reaffirms support of equal opportunity in employment and non-discrimination in employment policies practices and procedures on the basis of race religious creed color national origin ancestry physical disability mental disability medical condition genetic information marital status sex including pregnancy childbirth and related medical conditions gender gender identity gender expression age sexual orientation or military and veteran status or any other category protected by applicable federal state or local laws It is the Company s intention to comply with all applicable laws and regulations Company policy prohibits unlawful discrimination against applicants or employees Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex On-site Flex you ll work 3 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer supplier location with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week Virtual Flex you ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer supplier location and remotely the rest of the time
