Job Description

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and passionate Linux Device Driver Development Engineer to join our engineering team in Bangalore. This role involves hands-on development, enhancement, and maintenance of Linux kernel modules and device drivers for various hardware platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, debug, and maintain Linux device drivers and kernel modules
- Collaborate with hardware and systems teams to integrate and test new drivers
- Optimize performance and ensure reliability of Linux-based embedded systems
- Debug low-level system issues and perform kernel-level troubleshooting
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical documentation

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Strong programming experience in C
- Solid understanding of Linux kernel architecture and kernel development
- Hands-on experience developing or customizing Linux device drivers
- Experience with debugging tools like gdb, printk, etc.
- Good understanding of hardware-software interfaces, memory management, interrupts, and multithreading
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related disciplines
