Job Title Business AnalystJob Location BengaluruReporting to Head of Digital Transformation and Emerging TechnologiesJob Grade 6-IICore Purpose of the Role The core purpose of the Business Analyst role at Syngene is to bridge the gap between business needs and IT solutions The Business Analyst will gather analyze and document business requirements ensuring these are effectively translated into technological implementations that enhance operational efficiency and drive digital transformation By collaborating closely with stakeholders and leveraging industry knowledge the Business Analyst will contribute to innovative projects that support Syngene s strategic objectives and foster a digital-first organizational culture Key Responsibilities Requirements Gathering Engage with stakeholders to understand and document their business needs and requirements Conduct interviews workshops and surveys to gather detailed business requirements Analyze and prioritize requirements to align with business goals and IT capabilities Documentation Create clear and concise user requirement specifications URS business requirement documents BRDs functional specifications and use cases Maintain comprehensive documentation throughout the project lifecycle Solution Implementation Collaborate with IT developers system architects and project managers to design and implement IT solutions Ensure that solutions meet business requirements and are delivered on time and within budget Conduct user acceptance testing UAT and support the deployment of new systems or enhancements Project Management Assist in the planning execution and monitoring of IT projects Track project progress identify risks and propose mitigation strategies Facilitate communication between business units and IT teams and provide status updates to the stakeholders Training and Support Provide training and support to end-users on new systems and processes Develop training materials and user guides Assist in troubleshooting and resolving system-related issues Compliance and Quality Assurance Ensure all IT solutions comply with pharmaceutical industry regulations and quality standards Participate in audits and ensure documentation and processes meet regulatory requirements Strategy and Innovation Analyze and prioritize business needs to align with strategic objectives and IT capabilities Continuously monitor and evaluate IT systems to recommend improvements and innovations Stay abreast of emerging technologies to conceptualize new digital projects and drive transformation initiatives Automation and Process Mining Identify opportunities for process automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual workloads Implement process mining techniques to analyze optimize and enhance business processes Develop and deploy automation solutions to streamline workflows and improve operational effectiveness Technical skills Proficiency in business analysis techniques tools and methodologies Experience of working in BPM tools like Visio Signavio Pega and process mining tools like Celonis etc Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry processes regulations and compliance requirements Should have experience of automating business processes using RPA and other automation tools Experience with ERP systems e g SAP and CRM platforms e g Salesforce will be an added advantage Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools e g Power BI Tableau Familiarity with software development lifecycle SDLC and agile methodologies Hands-on experience with project management tools e g JIRA Trello Ability to develop comprehensive documentation including BRDs functional specifications and use cases Understanding of integration technologies and APIs Competence in using collaboration and communication tools e g Microsoft Teams Slack Behavioral Skills and Competencies Need to partner with customers IT and Business stakeholders - need to adapt style as per customer need Should have the capability to simplify complexity and provide clarity and focus Need to drive performance and build robust plans to deliver outcomes Need to drive accountability and be capable of delivering under pressure Should have the experience of working across teams and functions in collaborative manner Should understand own strength and development areas and also provide regular feedback to others Qualification Experience MTech in Computer Science Information Technology with a minimum of 8 years experience in business analysis and implementing Digital solutions in respective area Working experience in Pharma Life science domain will be preferred PMP Certification will be preferred
