Role Definition As Senior Associate Design Engineer ,you will be responsible for the Engineering & Design of Solar Turbine's Construction Services Products. You will involve in the design of the Oil & Gas Projects such as Gas Compression stations project , you will demonstrate designing, implementing, and maintaining Structural design within the Oil & Gas industry The identified candidate will be a member of a cross-functional team that Involves in FEED, Detail engineering, Procurement, inhouse Fabrication and Commissioning activities and ensues all performance metrics are achieved Responsibilities The candidate should possess a minimum of 10 years of industry experience in engineering / design execution and associated applications. Experience should include significant, demonstrated results leading Structural design efforts supporting industrial gas turbine packaging and associated gas compression and power generation projects and BOP systems engineering and design. In addition, the candidate should demonstrate knowledge of discipline-related industry standards, ASCE 7, IBC, AISC, OSHA etc and have experience with standards application across engineering specifications and vendor documentation. Comprehensive familiarity with CAD software packages supporting Structural design and broad knowledge of design and drafting techniques including framing drawing generation, foundation drawing creations, and details dwg creations. - Knowledge of Structural Engineering Design Codes & Standards such as ASCE 7, IBC, AISC, OSHA etc - Structural Member design, Connection design, Foundation Design, Pipe Rack design, Loading and load assessment. - Design and optimization of Pipe rack and Cable tray Support structure Platforms, Ladders, Handrails, Roof Design. - Structural Member optimization and Structural Analysis using STAAD Pro. - 3D Modelling using Autodesk Advance Steel, Revit. - 3D Model Review, Clash Check and Resolution. - 2D Drawing Generation, generation of Definition Drawings, Foundation drawings. - Preparation MTO, BOM from Structural 3D Models. - Preparation of Technical Specification for Structural Components, RFQ finalization & Vendor Drawings review. - Flexible and quick to learn global developments in EPC- Oil & Gas projects technologies and adopt. - Continuous improvement of the design activity in terms of technical knowledge, efficiency, quality, and productivity. - Provide virtual technical support for shop floor for the orders engineered & commissioning support. Preferred Competencies: - Definition drawings, 3D Modelling, Smart attributes - Structural Member design, Connection design, Foundation Design, Pipe Rack design, Loading and load assessment Pipe rack and Cable tray Support structure Platforms, Ladders, Handrails, Roof Design. - Structural Analysis using STAAD Pro - Structure drawings Details, Plan & Elevation drawing, layouts, Foundation drawings. - MTOs/BOMs, NWD models, Clash checks, Vendor Drawing Review. - Working experience with 3D Design Tools: Advance Steel, Revit, Tekla, STAAD Pro. AutoCad & E3D. Degree Requirement MTech/BE/B.Tech/ in Civil/ Structural Engineering from accredited Engineering Institute with 6-8 years of Oil and Gas/ Power Plant Experience.. Troubleshooting Technical Problems: Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems in a Design or product development environment. Level Working Knowledge: - Documents common hardware, software and communications problems and likely resolutions. - Troubleshoots typical technical problems in a specific area. - Works with vendor-specific diagnostic guides, tools and utilities to discover application problems. - Adheres to standard troubleshooting procedures to ensure effectiveness of resolutions. - Participates in setting evaluation standards and criterion for troubleshooting. 3D Software: Knowledge of the types, features and tools of 3D software; ability to use, implement, test and upgrade the software package in the process of 3D models production. Level Working Knowledge: - Assists in designing 3D models using appropriate software. - Helps others to install and maintain 3D modeling and rendering software. - Discusses the pros and cons of competitive 3D software from a business perspective. - Works with the standard features and facilities of 3D software. - Asks industry experts about the usage and functionality of a particular 3D rendering software.
