MEP Cluster Manager - Job description The incumbent will be responsible to add value to business through the role as Cluster MEP Head in Operation Team This role will manifest from CD SD DD tender GFC stage and conclude with successful handing over of project to customers by delivering projects on time with high quality by providing JOY to Customers Role will be responsible for multiple projects under the defined Cluster in the Region Design co-ordination along with internal and external stakeholders Driving adherence to the project plans product design and quality norms Timely resolution support of issues at site implementation of all standardization and quality initiatives in given area of work Financial Strategy Technical Inputs for projects Inputs to Costing team Optimization of CoC cost Cost optimization measures to control COC Independent suggestions of optimization measures from inception to execution for projects Week on week COC tracking Certifying the vendor bills on time Adopting innovative ideas technology for implementation in construction Engineering review of projects Review of all engineering deliverables DBR typical calculations SLDs drawings at all design stages tender drawings BOQ and specifications a to ensure safe engineering of MEP services as per relevant codes regulatory compliance b to provide possible cost optimization recommendations on the submitted deliverables Timely delivery of quality deliverables Cost leadership initiatives Timely delivery of quality deliverables Selection of Vendors Preparation of PQ for vendors and assistance to C P team for process adherence Timely on boarding of competent vendors with the coordination of C B and C P team cross functional teams Liaison with statutory bodies Coordinating with Liaisons with Local statutory bodies for power water supply etc for approvals for various projects Representation to statutory authorities along with liaison team such as CFO Fire NOC Fire CC BESCOM Lift approvals etc Contribution during meeting and technical closure for MEP related queries Process Process adherence and implementation Following the engineering management guidelines and standard formats during appointment of vendors coordination and technical review activities maintaining all documentation pertaining to the above activities Finalizing the scope document and payment milestone in line with the standard guidelines along with project specific special conditions of contract for MEP post alignment with Zonal team on project specific deviations Participating in the process compliance audits from Zonal team and ensuring implementation of corrective actions Process Improvement Identifies processes procedures in own work area that need Improvement Recommends process improvement ideas to efficiency costs productivity Undertakes process improvement activities in own work area Initiatives taken Impact improvement ideas Technical Assistance to C P team Co-ordination with planning team in order to understand projects requirements Co-ordination with Design contracts and C B team for tender finalization on contractor on boarding Timely availability of documents for tender preparation tender issue timely and qualitative reverts for technical closure of queries People Management and Development Learning and Devolvement Identifies self-development needs Takes concrete steps to pursue self-development through training education and on job learning etc New skills acquired Threshold Education BE B Tech Electrical or Mechanical Engineering 12 - 15 years of experience in construction industry as MEP Qualification Design Site coordinator Experience in managing consultants contractors and internal team in order to complete goals objectives and schedules Experience Understanding of the real estate development business Knowledge of MEP design and execution such as Electrical Plumbing and firefighting system Basic knowledge on BIM implementation MEP Cluster Manager -
